The 17th annual apparel, Textile & Footwear (ATF) Trade Exhibition that began in Cape Town from 24 November, a three day event is South Africa's only import sourcing show for the clothing, textile & footwear industries. The main objective of ATF is to offer international manufacturers, suppliers and exporters an opportunity to meet with new buyers from Africa including chain store, independent retailers, mini-chains, importers, agents, wholesalers, distributors and other key industry decision makers.
Four Pakistani companies, with the support of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), representing an assortment of trade sectors, participating in the even comprising Crown Leather Corporation Karachi, R.T. International Sialkot, Faisal Fabrics Limited and Best Exports Pvt Ltd Faisalabad are expected to establish contacts during the exhibition and materialize their presence at ATF into concrete future businesses, thereby, providing the required boost to Pakistani exports in the region.
High Commissioner of Pakistan to South Africa Najm-us-Saqib specially visited Cape Town from Pretoria to meet the Pakistani exhibitors participating in the ATF. The High Commissioner encouraged his fellow Pakistani participating companies' representatives to establish useful contacts and also take follow up actions. He also assured them of the fullest cooperation of Pakistan High Commission in their present and future endeavours.
The event offers manufacturers, suppliers and service providers in relevant industries a truly effective opportunity to reinforce business with South African buyers. ATF is increasingly becoming the hub for retails chain stores. The products on display would include ladies and children garment wear, leather garments, footwear, fashion accessories, home textiles and made-ups, clothing fabrics, yarn, thread, machinery and trims etc.
