The 5th China-Eurasia Expo aimed to boost the regional economic cooperation among Central, West & South Asian and European countries and to further expand the collaboration in multilateral fields is scheduled to be held from September 02-07, 2015 and last date for the submission of applications for participation in the expo is March 30, 2015. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has invited Pakistani traders to participate in 5th China-Eurasia Expo to be held in Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang, China.
The event is likely to be visited by dignitaries from various West and South Asian and European countries as well as VVIPs from Pakistan. High profile businessmen would be participating in this Business Gala representing different business sectors such as apparel, home textiles, furniture, leather goods, home accessories, spices, sports goods and marble handicrafts in this Expo of Pakistan.
This time the international trade exhibition has been titled as ‘Discover Business Opportunities with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan’ and willing businessmen have been directed to showcase Textiles, Garments, Machinery & Equipment, Gems & Jewellery, Furniture, Handicrafts, Brass ware, Marble & Onyx, Sports goods, Surkal instruments, Leather & Leather products, Hides & Skins, Carpets, Chemicals & Chemical other products.
China has developed its Western region, especially Xinjiang, it wants to invite neighboring countries, such as Pakistan to participate in this development process and strengthen cross-border economic complementarities.
Pakistan’s relations with Xinjiang province are already strong as trade between the two sides has been increasing and Pakistan looks forward to participating in the Kashgar Special Economic Zone (SEZ), which will turn this region into a gateway to Central and South Asia.
The scale of the Expo is bigger and it fits into China’s Grand Western Development Strategy. Expo will have more than four booths which will display the investment environment of Central, West, and South Asian, as well as European countries as well as the Expo will be used for introducing investment policies; matching investment; exploring cooperative projects; and demonstrating future commodities.
