A 10-member taskforce has been formed which will be lead by Additional Secretary to the Textile and Jute Ministry to bring the privatized jute and textile factories, which violated the conditions, under the government management again, said a handout on Monday.

The taskforce will review the violation of the conditions by the mills and put forward recommendations to run the mills under the government management after field visits if it is necessary.

A three-day Jute Products Fair will also be held on March 6 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in Dhaka, which is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The inaugural ceremony will be followed by giving honour to the officials, individuals and institutions for their role in implementation process of “Mandatory Jute Packaging Act-2010”, said a press release of Textiles and Jute Ministry on Monday.
