Syria Mod expo for textile and clothing industries to end today in Beirut

The Syria Mod exhibition for textile industries and clothing opened on August 7th at the Beirut International Exhibition and Leisure Center (BIEL), showcasing clothing for men, women, children, sportswear, embroideries, and hosiery, among other products and services.

The three day exhibition is organized by the Syrian Exporters Federation (SEF), the Syrian Clothing and Textiles Exporters Association, the Export Development and Promotion Agency (EDPA), and the Damascus and Aleppo Chambers of Industry. The exhibition covers an overall area of 3,000 square meters with over 100 Syrian companies participating in this expo.

The Syria Mod exhibition apart from including, products of more than 100 Syrian companies and it’s also featuring leather industries, plastic arts, flowers and embellishments plants.

During the opening of the exhibition, Lebanese Industry Ministry Hussein al-Hajj Hassan voiced support for Syria and Syrian industry, noting that despite all the challenges, pressure, and sanctions, Syrian industrialists are still persevering and exporting products.

In turn, head of the SEF Mohammad al-Sawwah said that this expo sends a message to the world that Syria is capable of producing and exporting, while chairman of Damascus and itts Countryside Industry Chamber Samer al-Debs said that the exhibition proves once against that Syria will remain a beacon of industry.

Last February, The “Syria Mod Spring-Summer 2015″ exhibition for textile industries and garments was held in the Beirut International Exhibition and Leisure Center (BIEL), where some 120 Syrian companies took part in it and managed to sign new contracts with their own Arab counterparts of business.
