Sutlej Textiles starts its value added cotton melange expansion project at its Kathua unit

Sutlej Textiles and Industries (STIL), one of India’s leading textile producers with a value-chain extending from yarns to fabrics to home textile has announced that the company has taken up commercial production of its expansion project of 31,104 spindles to manufacture value added cotton melange and cotton blended dyed yarn at its units, Chenab Textile Mills, Kathua.

Post this expansion, the company’s total yarn spinning capacity will stands at 292,840 spindles, of which 96,720 spindles will be utilized in the making of cotton melange and cotton blended dyed yarn. The rest of the spindles to be utilized towards manufacturing mainly of synthetic dyed yarns.

The addition of the new capacity will enable the company to further strengthen its position as a leading player in the cotton melange and cotton blended dyed segment. In addition, the Company is also investing towards modernizing-cum-balancing with a view to reduce cost and increase production of value added yarns.

Sutlej Textiles excels in all stages of textiles productions. Its versatile production facilities are vertically integrated, From spinning and weaving to dying and finishing to making apparel.

Company has two spinning units: Rajasthan Textile Mills, Bhawanimandi, and Chenab Textile Mills, Kathua. The Company also has one weaving and processing unit, Damanganga Fabrics; one garments unit, Damanganga Garments, and one home textiles unit, Damanganga Home Textiles.
