Sustainable Brand Platform (SBP), a fashion technology firm, has launched a new platform that it hopes will help fashion companies take control of their sustainability data and improve their sustainability performances.
According to the Italian organization, SBP digitalizes the whole fashion supply chain to give real-time data and insights required to integrate sustainability into a supply chain and strategy.
The platform is focused on data collection from enterprise resource planning and product lifecycle management, ultimately transforming data into KPIs with a sustainable foundation that adheres to global frameworks.
In a press release, SBP claimed that the platform can be distinguished from others due to its collection of primary data from the supply chain and its engagement of suppliers and their sub-suppliers.
Its strategy consists of three pillars: company, product, and supply chain. Each of these pillars offers digital solutions that may help brands and suppliers make decisions that are more environmentally friendly.
With ID cards available for both brands and products to indicate current standings, brands will be able to use the platform to evaluate their performances and support their goal-setting and reporting.
Additionally, a simulation tool powered by artificial intelligence (AI) will help designers and sustainability officers reduce impact hotspots, and other tools like supplier mapping and digital audits aim to support supply chain participants.
The business said that it was already collaborating with renowned global fashion labels and “Made in Italy” suppliers who had already started utilizing the platform and its new features.
