Stonyfield Organic, a well-known yogurt brand, announced on Tuesday the release of a limited-edition four-piece clothing collection made entirely from sugarcane-based textiles.
The brand explained that the inspiration behind this unique clothing line came from its new yogurt product, which contains no added sugar, emphasizing the belief that sugar doesn’t belong in kids’ lunchboxes. The collection is made from a plant-based bioplastic derived from sugarcane, a renewable resource.
The production process involves extracting cellulose from sugarcane stalks, which is then spun into fibers and woven into fabric. This offers a sustainable alternative to traditional polyester, aligning with the brand’s commitment to eco-friendly practices.
The collection will feature three custom-designed kids' tees, along with one adult tee. Each shirt will showcase a fun, colorful graphic and playful text, staying true to Stonyfield’s family-oriented and lighthearted brand image.
