Spinnova develops sustainable textile fibre. Spinnova’s technology spins fibre made of cellulose, simply and without harmful chemicals. This patented technology is said to save water, energy and chemicals, making cellulose-based textile fibre significantly more ecological than cotton or the current man-made fibres.
Spinnova’s objective is to globally commercialise its pulp-based textile fibre. Based in Jyväskylä, Central Finland, Spinnova now employs 13 people. Poranen says he is happy to focus fully on the fibre innovation business in this exciting phase of Spinnova’s growth.
Petri Poranen said that,“ Spinnova is an exceptional company. It’s rare to see such concrete development with this kind of speed and consistency, making agile decisions and moving towards a clear goal. The birth of the company and its strong basic fundament have also supported steady growth.â€
Spinnova’s CEO Janne Poranen expressed that, “Great to have Petri on our team. He has versatile experience from an industrial environment, which will come in handy as our new pilot factory along with investment and financing arrangements is built in Finland this year.â€
Spinnova, a Finnish technology company, has appointed Petri Poranen, as CFO in its team as of 1 August 2018.
