Soorty has launched its latest fabric, Collagen Denim, at Kingpins Amsterdam last fall. It features Umorfil technology, which transforms food waste into skin-friendly fabrics. The material is infused with collagen peptides sourced from fish scales, a byproduct of the seafood industry. These peptides, known for their moisturizing and soothing properties, enhance the fabric’s ability to support skin hydration.
“Our goal is to create products that seamlessly meet the needs of modern consumers by merging comfort, performance, and mindfulness,” said Eda Dikmen, Soorty’s senior marketing and communications manager.
Focused on functionality, well-being, and inclusivity, Collagen Denim offers exceptional softness, a luxurious feel, and superior shape retention. It’s also suitable for garments designed for individuals with specific skin care requirements.
Dikmen emphasized Soorty’s holistic approach to wellness. This includes fabric finishes that support skin health, regulate temperature, and offer antibacterial or hydrating benefits. The company also considers how clothing influences mental wellness, focusing on textures and colors that enhance mood and confidence.
