Skywalk, an Indian based textile manufacturer collaborates with an international partner Polygiene to treat textiles and face masks with Polygiene ViralOff®. The value of the order is between $150,000 to $200,000 per year.
Skywalk has rapidly responded to the rise in demand for antiviral treated facemasks through their e-commerce site. They also include polyester and cotton coated fabrics treated with ViralOff. Yasser Iqbal, Marketing Manager for Skywalk stated that Polygiene is a tested and trustworthy brand and is a world leader for antiviral treatments on fabrics. He believes that people are getting aware and becoming more conscious about keeping safe from viruses and Polygiene has come up with the solutions to eliminate viruses as well as reduce the transmission of viruses from textiles.
The virus has led to over washing and premature discarding of face masks and clothes. With ViralOff technology the product is said to reduce viruses to two only a fraction of a percent in just two hours. It is essentially a perpetual self-cleaning product concerning the virus and bacteria. Not only does this product offer protection but it also reduces environmental footprint significantly. Vishal Bhandari, Technical Director and commercially responsible for Polygiene South Asia conveys that the number of cases in India have reached over 1.2 million and Skywalk has assisted this situation by leading a helping hand to combat the pandemic.
The number of companies who have partnered with ViralOff is drastically increasing and in addition to Skywalk international , Royal Enfield has also commenced making masks. Turkish MyMaske, H.A.D. and P.A.C. snoods from Germany, Dutch Senscommon and Xindao as well as British P&S Healthcare and Bumpaa, are also ViralOff’s partners. NZ stock company is among the first to release a facemark made up of merino wool and La Sportiva is also selling its technically developed facemark ‘Stratos’ with ViralOff.
Polygiene hopes to dominate as the world's leading brand with its fresh and odor control technology and would like to lead the transition of viewing apparel from fast consumable to durable. Over 140 global premium brands have partnered with Polygiene for their products.
