Plus-sized womenswear brand Simply Be has launched its first clothing rental range. The edit, which comes in sizes 10 to 32, consists of 23 items, including some of the retailer's best-selling own-label occasionwear and a bridal gown that costs 220 pounds right now.
For the service, Simply Be has partnered with fashion rental site Hirestreet. Customers may hire things starting at 14 pounds for four days. The rental edit is "another major milestone" in N Brown Group's broader sustainability plan, "Sustain," according to Simply Be's parent firm.
Goals to attain net zero emissions by 2040 and have all brand products "responsibly sourced" by 2030 are a part of this approach.
Angela Gaskell, group sourcing, sustainability, quality and fit director, said that they aim to move away from the make-use-dispose paradigm of the fashion business and embrace circularity. Products are created responsibly, worn for a longer period, and then re-used or recycled. The company is aware that its clients "want to be more circular, which is why working with Hirestreet is a really exciting move forward.
Hirestreet CEO Isabella West said, said that Simply Be are masters in making clothes that make women feel great. They are the perfect rental partner because of their emphasis on aesthetically pleasing design and their great work on fit.
