At the upcoming Textillegprom Federal Trade Fair for Apparel and Textile, known as the Yarmarka Fair, to take place in Moscow, Russia at the end of August, Japanese computerized flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki will exhibit its SWG061N2 compact WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine which can produce a wide range of WHOLEGARMENT items in their entirety without the need for linking or sewing.

Also on display will be the novel SRY machine with loop presser beds that yields conventional fabrics with special inlay patterns that are produced by inserting yarn into knit fabric in a weave fashion, offering new and exciting possibilities in hybrid knit-weave textiles.

Visitors will also be able to view SSR series workhorse machine which features such industry-leading Shima Seiki innovations as digital stitch control system (DSCS) and spring-type moveable sinker system in a compact, economical package. The SFG-I glove knitting machine in ultrafine 18 gauge rounds out the comprehensive lineup.

Also one show will be the latest version of Shima Seiki’s SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system. At the core of Shima Seiki’s “Total Fashion System” concept, APEX3 offers comprehensive support of the entire process of knitwear production from planning and design to production and sales promotion, as well as capability for Virtual Sampling.

Ultra-realistic simulation capability allows Virtual Sampling to minimize the costly time- and resource-consuming sample-making process while enhancing presentation quality. APEX3 also supports design and simulation in a variety of other industries such as circular knitting, weaving, pile weaving and printing.

Demonstrations will be held at the fair showing how the various features of APEX3 can be used in e-Commerce marketing of made-to-order knit accessory items. Shima Seiki can be found at Pavilion 75 Hall A, Stand TLM-5C.

Yarmarka exhibition will be held from 29 August - 1 September at the All-Russia Exhibition Centre in Moscow.
