Second Edition of Arab Carpet and Flooring Expo 2017 to be held in Abu Dhabi

Arab Carpet and Flooring Expo along with Yarn and Fiber Expo in 2017, will run for the second time, and have the objective of providing a set of world-class international events in the symbolic city of Abu Dhabi at the award-winning Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) venue.

Abu Dhabi is the symbolic and chosen city for these events due to the presence of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque which owns the world’s largest hand-made carpet and has truly world-class flooring.

This unique carpet, made especially for Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque by around 1,300 Iranian carpet knotters, measures 5,627 m2 (60,570 sq ft). Its weight is 35 tonnes, has approximately 2.27 Billion knots and took approximately two years to complete. It was made from Cotton, and Wool sourced from New Zealand and Iran.

The First Edition of Arab Carpet and Flooring Expo was a successful launch trade show which saw 47 Exhibitors come together from 15 Countries around the world and visitors who were from 34 countries, making it a truly international event.

Following on from the success of the First Edition, in this Second Edition, Arab Carpet and Flooring Expo aims to continue to make Abu Dhabi the hub of Carpet and Flooring in the MENA region by providing a platform for the world’s very best to showcase their products, services, technologies and innovations every year. No other event in the region provides a platform such as this for exhibitors, sponsors, visitors, industry professionals, private buyers and all other interested individuals and parties to participate in a set of events that focus specifically and only on carpet and flooring and to take advantage of the abundant economic, social, educational and environmental opportunities that exist locally and regionally in this space.

The event invites industry professionals such as Interior Designers, Architects, Agents / Distributors, Importers / Exporters, Contractors, Decorators, Wholesalers, Consultants, Home Owners and Private Buyers, Retailers, Engineers, Trade Media, Government Officials and Others to visit, collaborate and network with the very best in Carpet and Flooring, locally, regionally and internationally. Therefore, as an exhibitor it is an excellent opportunity to meet all the key players in the industry in one location.

Apart from the Exhibition component, the Organiser is also planning to include forums to run simultaneously that have a “Flooring” theme with the support of leading international associations and media. This is aimed at attracting leading speakers and industry professionals as well as companies to become involved in educational, inspirational and thought-provoking topics.
