Schneider Group works for ethical wool supply chain

Schneider Group, a prominent wool and cashmere producer, has introduced Authentico, a brand committed to maintaining a “complete, transparent, verified, traceable, ethical, and high-quality wool supply chain – from farm to garment.”

Authentico aims to be a globally recognized brand that provides the fashion industry and consumers with premium quality, fully traceable, and responsibly sourced wool. This initiative ensures a comprehensive verification, tracing, and branding of sourcing and manufacturing processes across the entire supply chain.

The brand’s production spans three sites: Pettinatura di Verrone, Fuhrmann in Argentina, and Mediterranean Wool Industries in Egypt. Authentico utilizes the Authentico Verification System, which offers clear criteria and guidelines for all supply chain partners, ensuring transparency and quality.

Incorporating TextileGenesis, a pioneering traceability platform, the Authentico Verification System digitally tracks all incoming and outgoing wool, enhancing transparency and accountability.
