Sateri, based in Shanghai, is acquiring Funing Aoyang's viscose fiber company, bringing its total number of viscose mills in China to six and increasing its annual production capability to more than 1.8 million tonnes.
Funing Aoyang is a division of listed company Jiangsu Aoyang Health Industry. Funing, Jiangsu, is home to the annual 330,000-ton mill. Its 330,000-tonne-per-year mill is based in Aoyang Industrial Park, Funing County, Jiangsu Province, and will be purchased by Sateri under the agreement.
President, Allen Zhang said Sateri's business presence will grow as a result of this acquisition, and their capacity to service customers in eastern and northern China will improve. They will update the mill with advanced technologies to improve its process technology, safety, and environmental sustainability. They aim to have a positive effect on the local economy and drive the sustainable development of the industry through improved management and operational excellence.
Sateri, the world's largest viscose fiber manufacturer, is part of the RGE group of resource-based manufacturing firms and has operations in Indonesia, China, Brazil, Spain, and Canada. It uses natural and organic raw materials in textiles, baby wipes, and personal grooming products, all of which have been scientifically tested as healthy and safely manufactured.
The company's five mills in China currently manufacture 1.5 million tonnes of viscose fiber per year, as well as textile yarns, spunlace nonwovens, and Lyocell fiber.
