Sapphire Mills, XLANCE Srl partner for sustainable stretch technology

Pakistan’s Sapphire Mills has joined forces with XLANCE Srl, a producer of polyolefin-based stretch yarn, to revolutionize workwear with advanced sustainable stretch technology. This collaboration aims to integrate XLANCE’s innovative stretch yarn into workwear fabrics, enhancing both durability and comfort.

Sapphire Mills noted that it is among the few mills capable of fully utilizing XLANCE’s exceptional stretch properties. The primary goal of this partnership is to develop a new range of XLANCE fabrics specifically designed to improve the performance and sustainability of workwear and launderable garments.

The fabrics created with XLANCE fiber are expected to deliver superior thermal and chemical resistance, maintaining their stretch capabilities even at temperatures up to 220°C and under harsh washing and sanitizing conditions. The durability of the fabric remains intact even after 50 washes, making it particularly suitable for industrial laundry environments. The long-lasting stretch ensures consistent comfort and fit, reducing the need for frequent replacements.

Costantino Colnaghi, CEO of XLANCE Srl, highlighted the growing demand for stylish and comfortable workwear influenced by apparel and sportswear trends. He believes that XLANCE fiber meets these needs, allowing for the creation of unique and innovative workwear products.

Sapphire Mills emphasized that this collaboration underscores their commitment to sustainability and innovation. By incorporating XLANCE fiber, Sapphire Mills is enhancing its workwear fabrics and aligning with global sustainability trends, impacting sectors such as rental garments, industrial laundries, medical, HORECA, and military.
