Ruyi Group, China-based textile and apparel manufacturer has entered into partnership with Lectra, a Paris based, the world leader in integrated technology solutions. Through this partnership Lectra will implement best practices and optimize Ruyi’s manufacturing process to move to a lean approach for their apparel design and production for a highly efficient and smart menswear production line.
Lectra will support Ruyi in expanding operations at their Taian plant by supplying best-practice expertise and process optimization consulting as well as hardware and software solutions, to rollout new operations under a lean manufacturing methodology in order to supply a growing number of international luxury menswear clients and its own brands. As the heart of the new operations, includes a lean-ready cutting room for industrialization, preproduction and fabric cutting. Thus, Ruyi will be able to minimize costs, shorten time-to-market and better control quality.
Ruyi, one of the world’s largest industrial supply chains for wool and cotton processing has revenues of more than $5 billion annually and over 30,000 employees, the group has public companies in Japan and China as well as subsidiaries in 36 countries around the world operating a completely vertical fashion supply chain.
Both Lectra and Ruyi are industry leaders in technology development, brand innovation and high-end products. They also share the same vision in terms of growth strategies and product positioning which was the reason behind choosing Lectra as their partner.
