Circulose Supplier Network
Renewcell, the Swedish textile-to-textile recycler, celebrates the addition of 35 new members to its CIRCULOSE® Supplier Network (CSN), bringing the total count to 151. The latest cohort includes vertical operations, yarn spinners, garment manufacturers, denim mills, and home textile mills, underscoring the collective effort to advance circularity in clothing production.
Srimal Wickremasinghe, Managing Director of Brushes & Needles, and Salil Dhillon, Director of TexComs Worldwide, express their commitment to sustainability through innovative textile solutions leveraging CIRCULOSE® technology. Recognizing the demand for eco-friendly products, they emphasize the importance of aligning with consumer values and prioritizing sustainability across the product lifecycle.
Strategic partnerships were forged across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Turkey, with a focus on establishing CIRCULOSE® manufacturing hubs in key regions. As Renewcell aims to replace virgin manmade cellulosic fibers and enhance mechanically recycled cotton, expanding mill partnerships in countries like Turkey, with a thriving cotton market and recycling industry, becomes imperative.
Tricia Carey, Chief Commercial Officer at Renewcell, highlights the significance of offering location-specific end-to-end manufacturing to meet the diverse needs of brand partners. By integrating CIRCULOSE® fibers into the textile supply chain, Renewcell aims to achieve economies of scale and promote circularity in fashion and home brands, catering to both large corporations and smaller entities.
