Leading recycled cotton fiber producer, Recoverâ„¢, has announced the official opening of its new facility in Bangladesh, expanding the company's manufacturing capabilities and accelerating its efforts to transform the fashion industry by addressing one of the world's most pressing environmental issues.
The Bangladesh plant is fully equipped with Recover's patented gear as well as RColorBlend installation, Recover's breakthrough technology that delivers color fiber mixes with a lower environmental impact.
With its recent cooperation with STORY3 Capital, a premier alternative investment manager, the new manufacturing base in Dhaka is a key aspect of Recover's plan for development and scalability. This new facility will assist Recoverâ„¢ in meeting the growing worldwide demand for sustainable fibers and circularity in the textile and apparel industries.
The facility's strategic position, near both textile waste sorting and textile production, will assist Recoverâ„¢'s growth objectives and place it close to supply and demand, lowering the carbon effect of transportation. Asia is one of the greatest producers of cotton waste, and by having a presence in Bangladesh, Recoverâ„¢ will be able to deliver a fully closed-loop solution.
Alfredo Ferre, CEO of Recover™, said that the new plant in Bangladesh is only one step in Recover's ambitious development ambitions. They’re thrilled to announce the inauguration of a new manufacturing center in Vietnam and the second plant in Bangladesh this year, in addition to their current operations in Spain and Pakistan. Operations in Spain will be extended as well, with increased investment in product development and the formation of new strategic partnerships and commercial partners throughout the world.
