Recommerce, in collaboration with Kianna Media Ventures, will host the third edition of the Sustainable Clothing and Textile Recycling Conference on August 10 in Coimbatore to encourage textile recycling, promote business cooperation, and development in the areas of textile recycling, upcycling, and sustainable fashion in India.
The organizers said in a pre-show report that they intend to build an ecosystem of community members from many professions to address crucial debates that can serve as a bridge to revitalize the industry. One of the main themes that must be addressed in order to develop a green future for the next generation is sustainable clothing and textile recycling.
The report added that the (performance of the) textile industry may have an impact on the global improvement of living standards as a result of economic development. The textile sector has significant environmental difficulties. The amount of textile waste that is largely disposed of in landfills or incinerators is steadily increasing. Less than 1% of the material used to create apparel gets recycled into new garments.
The third Sustainable Clothing and Textile Recycling Conference will concentrate on textile recycling, upcycling, reuse, and the circular economy in the garment industry. It will be a one-day complete B2B platform that encourages the exchange of ideas and the creation of new chances.
The event will feature presentations from some of the most well-known leaders in the textile business. The exclusive B2B networking event will bring together leading textile manufacturers interested in textile recycling technologies and business collaboration, experts in waste management and environmentally friendly technologies for textile waste recycling, recycling equipment manufacturers, upcyclers and recyclers, research centers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, as well as esteemed participants.
