German sports company, Puma, has redesigned its well-known King football footwear with K-Better technology to give an outstanding performance without kangaroo leather.
Football legends Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona, Eusébio, and Pelé have all donned the Puma King, and it is now making a comeback on the field with K-Better, a brand-new, non-animal-based upper material that comprises at least 20% recycled material.
Peter Stappen, Puma’s lead product line manager teamsport footwear, said that the business would no longer make football boots with kangaroo leather this year,. K-Better has proven to outperform the previous King K-Leather in testing for touch, comfort, and durability. The Puma King is Puma’s most recognizable football brand, and it has long been associated with the use of premium materials and cutting-edge technology. The football boot has changed and grown established in both on- and off-field football culture over the years, from the fields to the stands. With a super-soft upper and ideal stretch resistance for the best in touch and control, the new King elevates the franchise.
The King includes a new, light outsole with an external heel counter, a stability spine, conical studs, and a thin, removable sockliner with NanoGrip technology to keep the foot fixed in position and reduce any power loss when changing directions in addition to its revamped upper.
It is also available with female-specific dimensions like volume and instep height. The boots are currently on sale at Puma.com, Puma locations, and specialty soccer shops.
