PulPac, the creator of Dry Molded Fiber technology, and PA Consulting, a global innovation consultancy, have announced the development of Dry Molded Fiber bottle caps, currently being tested with the Bottle Collective. By swapping plastic caps for those made from Dry Molded Fiber, businesses can reduce their environmental impact while offering consumers a greener choice. This is the first in a series of innovations from PulPac and PA, with more fiber-based caps and closures set to debut soon.
“We’re excited to launch this new bottle cap as part of our collaboration with the Bottle Collective,” said Jamie Stone, a design, innovation, and sustainability expert at PA Consulting. “This latest innovation enables the production of entire bottles made with Dry Molded Fiber technology, providing a scalable and sustainable alternative to single-use packaging.”
The Bottle Collective, which includes members like Diageo, Logoplaste, Haleon, and Sanofi, is a joint initiative by PulPac and PA Consulting, with the goal of launching Dry Molded Fiber bottles on a large scale by 2025.
PulPac’s Dry Molded Fiber technology is ideal for a variety of caps and closures, allowing brands to improve sustainability without sacrificing performance. This innovation aligns with worldwide initiatives to cut down plastic waste and encourage circular economies, targeting over 95% fiber-based content in products like caps and closures, helping companies achieve their sustainability objectives.
