Porcher Industries, a specialist in advanced materials, will present a cockpit developed in collaboration with Airbus at the Mobility Planet showcase during the JEC World composites exhibition in Paris from March 4-6.
For this project, Porcher supplied a lightweight, reinforced thermoplastic glass fibre material, optimized for vacuum bag consolidation. This material offers easy assembly, reduced need for paint and varnish, and can be recycled more efficiently compared to traditional thermoset alternatives.
Porcher’s Composite Application Lab (CAL), located in Le Grand Lemps, France, plays a key role in advancing textile and thermoplastic solutions. The lab accelerates innovation by helping clients develop customized prototypes, small production runs, and transition to thermoplastic materials using vacuum bag processing.
At JEC World, Porcher will also showcase its peel ply textiles, designed to enhance composite manufacturing. These textiles offer exceptional dimensional stability, easy removal, and a uniform weave, ensuring strong and consistent bonding in composite applications.
