For the Spring/Summer 2026 season, Polartec is introducing an upgraded Power Shield collection. These waterproof shell fabrics, made from recycled and plant-based nylons, provide exceptional durability, comfort, and performance to high-quality outdoor gear with a reduced environmental footprint.

The campaign, titled "Beyond Begins Today," reflects Polartec’s ongoing commitment to pioneering sustainable, high-performance textiles. “For over thirty years, Polartec has focused on developing technologies that enhance sustainability without compromising durability,” said Ramesh Kesh, Business Manager at Polartec. “The Power Shield series represents our most significant effort yet to reduce environmental impact while improving the comfort and functionality of our products.”

To move away from petroleum-based raw materials and harmful chemicals, Polartec has introduced Polartec Power Shield Pro. This breathable, waterproof fabric is free from PFAS chemicals and partially made from Biolon plant-based nylon, a renewable, non-GMO plant-based nylon.

Polartec Power Shield RPM is a highly durable fabric made entirely from recycled polyester. This innovative material provides superior waterproofing and breathability, along with excellent flexibility and resilience. The fabric features a non-PFAS water-repellent coating, ensuring long-lasting protection against moisture.
