German based Penn Textile Solutions, a leading producer of in elastomeric knitted textiles, is offering new fabrics featuring Invista’s Lycra Beauty Cooling technology for the Spring/Summer 2018 textile collection. Thomas Siemensmeyer, CEO of Penn Textile Solutions said that they specialise in creating fabrics for lingerie and athleisure that offer cutting-edge innovations, discreet support, timeless elegance, and lasting performance, that’s why they prefer Lycra fibre.
Now more than ever, consumers are demanding comfortable, easy care apparel with real performance benefits. They believe offering these benefits, and harnessing the power of Lycra brand equity through co-branding, are an important way to differentiate their products and drive sales.
Now the company is offering a thin spacer fabric (65032) featuring Lycra Beauty Cooling technology. Designed primarily for use in bras, sport bras and bralettes, this innovation provides a permanent moisture management solution that works faster than typical nylon fibres used today, the company reports.
The company’s new award-winning Natural Charme series is a unique innovation that pairs Lycra Beauty technology with natural fibres (like cotton and micromodal) to create a product range offering enhanced comfort.
The range comprises of four fabrics, which include: two soft mesh fabric that contain 16% Lycra Beauty fibre for light control and breathability, a fabric made with 20% Lycra Beauty fibre that is said to provide a softer hand than standard lace due to the use of natural fibres, and a fabric made with 25% Lycra fibre, with engineered edge and a closed surface with a beautiful hemstitch design.
2-ZONE Athleisure Fabric is specially designed for lingerie producers. The company combines its Dreamshape and Powerlace fabrics to create a unique fabric that also belongs to the Natural Charme series. “It’s basically two fabrics in one to give designers the most flexibility possible when crossing over from a traditional lingerie-style floral design to a more modern, sporty look for athleisure. The fabric has 24% Lycra Beauty fibre and an engineered edge that smoothly turns into an open net structure, the company said.
Penn Textile Solutions also increased its lace programme to feature lace made with Lycra fibre for greater comfort and a softer hand than traditional polyamides. 12813 is a classic Powerlace that is designed to offer stretch across the warp and the weft, as well as beautiful contrasts in its design. 12798, a super light (70gr) floral lace, is made with 25% Lycra fibre and drapes well over foamed cups, spacer fabrics, or moulded bra cups.
The company also developed an innovative new gripper band using 46% Lycra fibre and 54% Coolmax fibre that’s silicone free, breathable and makes panties, bike shorts and shape wear more comfortable.
Penn Textile Solutions manufactures on a 15000 m² factory site based in Paderborn. Their production consists of warp and weft knitting machines, with fully vertical dyeing and finishing, giving the fabric their final performance and aesthetics.
