Paradise Textiles, Nanollose partner for sustainable nullarbor fibres

Paradise Textiles, a material science hub based in Dubai and part of the Alpine Group, has signed an exclusive supply agreement with biotechnology company Nanollose for the supply and development of Nullarbor fibres.

This collaboration aims to innovate sustainable textile solutions through a unique microbial fermentation process. This partnership represents a significant step towards transforming the fashion industry's sustainability efforts, leveraging advanced biotechnology to create environmentally responsible textiles.

Ashok Mahtani, co-chairman of the Alpine Group, expressed pride in the successful pilot production of next-generation fabrics using Nullarbor pulp. He emphasized Paradise Textiles' commitment to innovation and sustainable partnerships, highlighting that Nullarbor fibres' unique properties and production process will enable high-performance, eco-friendly textile solutions.

Wayne Best, Ph.D., executive chairman at Nanollose, welcomed the formalisation of the partnership, noting the alignment between Nanollose’s technology and Paradise Textiles’ sustainability goals and customer base. He anticipates significant progress in achieving commercial objectives through this strategic joint venture, reinforcing their strong working relationship and mutual passion for sustainable innovation.
