Paradise Textiles, a material science hub based in Dubai and part of the Alpine Group, has signed an exclusive supply agreement with biotechnology company Nanollose for the supply and development of Nullarbor fibres.
This collaboration aims to innovate sustainable textile solutions through a unique microbial fermentation process. This partnership represents a significant step towards transforming the fashion industry's sustainability efforts, leveraging advanced biotechnology to create environmentally responsible textiles.
Ashok Mahtani, co-chairman of the Alpine Group, expressed pride in the successful pilot production of next-generation fabrics using Nullarbor pulp. He emphasized Paradise Textiles' commitment to innovation and sustainable partnerships, highlighting that Nullarbor fibres' unique properties and production process will enable high-performance, eco-friendly textile solutions.
