The Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) announces the dates for their ninth Sunsilk Fashion Week (PFSFW) as fashion gets in the front row of the cultural scene in Pakistan. The PSFW will take place from March 10 to 13 in Lahore next year. The aim of the event is to define and present luxury/pret, high street and lawn/voile trends for 2016, with a special focus on fashion for the regions'' long hot summer months.

PFDC will be dedicating three separate showcases within PSFW, namely luxury/Prêt designers, high-street brands, and textile houses, in an attempt to let each category stand on its own. The fashion week will prompt textile sector, high-street and fashion associates to grow in their engagement of the platform to launch new collections and campaigns.

The PFDC is accepting applications from interested fashion and textile houses on their official website, who fulfill the criteria that they must be registered tax payers with the relevant tax authorities in Pakistan and that they should be submitted by November 26 at the council’s head office.

The platform promises to include some of the most anticipated labels and serve as a launch pad for some of Spring/Summer 2016’s designer lawn collections. The PFDC will announce participating fashion designers, textile and high-street brands in February next year.

The three-day extravaganza will mark the fourteenth fashion week initiated by PFDC and is a direct manifestation of the Council's commitment to sustainability and discipline within the business of fashion and the facilitation of Pakistan's retail industry.
