Kuraray signed a capacity reservation agreement with Origin Materials as part of the strategic partnership to acquire sustainable, carbon-negative intermediate chemicals used in the large-scale synthesis of numerous polymers, including PTA, PET, and polyamide. Kuraray's objective is to produce creative solutions with distinctive goods and cleaner technologies to improve the natural environment and the quality of life for people everywhere.

Origin’s patented technology platform, which converts carbon contained in sustainable wood wastes into useable materials, has the potential to change the manufacture of a wide range of end goods while also assisting the industry in its transition to sustainable materials and decreasing GHG emissions.
