O’Neill debuts a collection of sustainable swimwear

As part of the latest O’Neill Blue sustainable collection, the American surf brand has developed a line of women’s swimwear made with Hyosung’s Mipan® regen nylon, to meet consumer desire for eco-friendly activewear.

Mipan® regen nylon is made entirely of reclaimed materials. The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) of the Control Union in the Netherlands has approved the fiber for its energy-saving properties.

Global marketing director of Hyosung Textiles, Mike Simko, said O’Neill is a well-known surf company, and they’re proud to have collaborated with the team to create a sustainable swimwear line that customers can feel confident about buying and wearing because it’s good for the environment.

The founder, Jack O’Neill, said the ocean is alive, and we must look after it. O’Neill founded the O’Neill Sea Odyssey in 1996 as part of his contribution to teaching youth about ocean conservation. Today, O’Neill continues Jack O’Neill’s legacy of defending playgrounds through ocean campaigns, supply chain expansion, and the expansion of its Blue sustainable product collection.
