Officina+39
Officina+39 is a chemical company that is significantly working towards reducing its environmental impact. They have integrated innovation and upcycling is part of their identity and the company focuses to do more.
The company wanted to build a business outside their sustainable chemical specialties, dyestuffs and pigments for fashion garments. Keeping ambition alive the company has launched a suitable denim collection called ‘RE-ACT’. The collection contains creatively unique garments that could potentially inspire designers, brands and product developers alike.
The collection metaphorically represents softness that attributes to relief from the tough moment in today’s new reality. They have focused on finishing techniques that will attract consumers to be a part of the drive. The main aim of the collection has been reducing the environmental impact by combining the tradition of ancient Italian craftsmanship with innovative technologies.
The collection features their latest technologies connected with their main Trustainable™ practices and their recently debuted Oz-One Powder, which is a treatment that allows denim laundries to achieve bleached, distressed, or acid-wash looks on garments in an eco-friendly waterless way.
The dyes used in the collection give the collection a unique dyeing effect in nebulization/fog system machinery, all while saving water and energy to create a wide range of fresh colors that are not tied to a season and can be discharged in a creative way with Oz-One Powder.
The RE-ACT! collection also features the company’s Recycrom™ Dirty chemical, which is a sustainable dyestuff solution recycled from textile waste that uses minimal water in the dyeing process. This gives the jeans a unique worn out vintage look. The company strongly believes that there isn’t one way to achieve sustainability and the best way to predict the future is by creating it.
