Georg Stausberg, CEO of the Polymer Processing Solutions Division and Chief Sustainability Officer of the Oerlikon Group, emphasized the company's commitment to sustainability and zero-waste production. They plan to continue expanding sustainable innovations in their technologies and processes.

Oerlikon is actively involved in the sustainability-focused partnership with Worn Again Technologies. This partnership is dedicated to developing solvent-based recycling technology that can transform end-of-life textiles and PET plastics into circular raw materials and fibers.

Oerlikon Barmag offers technological solutions for rPET (recycled polyester), enabling significant CO2 emissions savings. They introduced a homogenizer recycling line designed for customers in China and Asia, allowing the processing of bottle flakes and film waste into polymer melt or chips.

Another rPET solution is the VacuFil system by Oerlikon Barmag, which combines large-scale filtration and intrinsic viscosity regulation to consistently produce high-quality rPET melt.
