Object partners with OnceMore to introduce recycled fiber

Danish fashion brand Object, a subsidiary of the global fashion company Bestseller, is expanding its fabric options with OnceMore for its upcoming Spring collection, scheduled for release this month. OnceMore offers a fabric made from recycled textiles and wood sourced from responsibly managed forests, adding a sustainable touch to Object’s latest collection.

In collaboration with OnceMore from Södra, the Swedish forest cooperative, Object is embracing a philosophy that emphasizes creativity and quality in its latest collection. By incorporating the innovative OnceMore recycled fibre into their fabric lineup, Object is embarking on a new journey towards sustainability, blending recycled materials with renewable wood cellulose.

OnceMore is leading the way in textile innovation by offering a solution for large-scale recycling of blended fabrics. This pioneering process converts textile waste into high-quality textile pulp, which is then transformed into viscose. Object’s Spring collection features three knitted tops crafted from OnceMore pulp, reflecting Object’s design ethos of simplicity, effortlessness, and versatility while promoting the OnceMore ethos of returning, reviving, and reducing.

Charlotte Neergaard Madsen, Object’s Sustainability and Sourcing Responsible, expresses excitement about the collaboration with OnceMore, emphasizing the importance of making a difference in fashion by integrating sustainable technology into garments. OnceMore, as part of Södra, shares Object’s commitment to longevity and sustainability, marking a step towards more thoughtful resource use in the textile industry.

Angeline Elfström, Business Development Manager at OnceMore, highlights the significance of collaboration in promoting mindful approaches to fashion and anticipates future collaborations that blend style with sustainability.
