Northeast Stall Purbashree at Dilli Haat promote cashless sale facility

Union Minister for Northeast, Dr Jitendra Singh, keeping in tune with the Modi Government’s current drive to promote cashless transaction has decided to introduce cashless sale facility for its customers at the Northeast Stall ‘Purbashree’ at Dilli Haat, achieving the distinction of becoming the first-ever stall to promote cashless transactions.

Union Minister for Northeast, Dr Jitendra Singh made this announcement when Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani visited the stall at the invitation of the DoNER Ministry which is seeking collaboration to boost the market for textile products from Northeast.

Smriti Irani, accompanied by Dr Jitendra Singh, went through the various sections of the “Purbashree’ Stall and assured that her Ministry officials will maintain a regular contact with the DoNER Ministry officials in order to widen the scope of Northeast textile products and also to plan their wider projection.

She also revealed the plan to enc courage textile industry in Northeast with the involvement of local population.

Jitendra said that the Northeast stall “Purbashree”, which was set up in Dilli Haat earlier this year, has begun to attract more and more number of visitors with each passing day. He regretted that even though ideally the stall should have been set up right at the time of opening of Dilli Haat several years ago, it is a reflection of commitment of the Modi Government that it has made up for this lapse without wasting time.
