NILT releases its sustainability report ‘Making Nylon Sustainable’

NILIT®, a global manufacturer of nylon 6.6 (polyamide) fibers headquartered in Migdal HaEmek, Israel, is pleased to announce the release of its 2017-2020 sustainability report. The report, titled “Making Nylon Sustainable,” outlines the company’s significant achievements in reducing its environmental impact, as well as its intentions to favorably encourage the textile and garment industries to pick more sustainable materials and utilize them responsibly.

General Manager Ilan Melamed, said that at NILIT, sustainability is a core value. They’re committed to offering the garment market the most consumer-relevant, highest-quality, and long-lasting premium Nylon 6.6 goods possible. To achieve this aim, they continue to engage in operations and product development, utilizing their supply chain alliances. ‘Making Nylon Sustainable’ encapsulates their vision and dedication to environmental and social responsibility, and they are delighted to make this public statement.

NILIT’s achievements are highlighted in “Making Nylon Sustainable,” as well as the company’s ongoing initiatives to enhance the ecological and social impact of its operations and practices in the market and in the communities where it works. NILIT has built the biggest range of sustainable premium Nylon 6.6 products via partnerships with brands, retailers, consumers, workers, and vendors under its SENSIL® consumer brand.

The SENSIL® portfolio comprises performance items that solve the garment industry’s most critical environmental concerns, including water and energy usage, waste reduction, recycled inputs, and ecosystem impact.

NILIT has also been praised for its numerous sustainability achievements at its sites across the world, particularly its breakthroughs in clean energy cogeneration, which cut CO2 emissions by 40% and eradicated hazardous gas emissions. Furthermore, the NILIT Total Product Sustainability program guarantees that all NILIT products meet stringent criteria for responsible production.

QR Codes have also been added to all SENSIL® hangtags. These hangtags, made with FSC paper and distributed on certified clothes from companies all over the world, ensure authenticity and give consumers further information about premium Nylon’s technologies and benefits.

Melamed added that their industry’s journey toward sustainability relies on creativity, commitment, and partnership. Their aim is to be the most creative and sustainable Nylon manufacturer in the world, developing solutions that improve companies and lives. They publicly discuss this notion with all of their stakeholders by releasing this report, and they ask their industry peers to join them in this critical endeavor.
