Nilit launches Sensil ByNature made using bio-based feedstock

NILIT, a global supplier of premium Nylon 6.6, has launched SENSIL® ByNature, a revolutionary new product that enhances the sustainability profile, life cycle analysis, and environmental impact of clothes. NILIT substitutes fossil raw materials with renewable feedstock by employing a certified Biomass Balance (BMB) substance.

SENSIL® ByNature minimizes GHG emissions and reduces reliance on nonrenewable resources by using this ISCCplus certified material. Consumers may help minimize their carbon footprint by purchasing apparel manufactured with SENSIL® ByNature textiles, which provide the same comfort, performance, and lifespan that they expect from SENSIL® today.

Ilan Melamed, NILIT General Manager, said that SENSIL® ByNature is a game-changing innovation in premium Nylon 6.6. SENSIL® ByNature will have a large carbon footprint reduction while providing the highest quality man-made fabric for garments. This is the type of innovative product development that the textile industry needs to lessen its environmental impact and take a more responsible role in the global marketplace.

Frank Reil, Head of Marketing, New Business Development, and Sustainability Polyamides at BASF, said that they’re very delighted to partner with NILIT to spread their Biomass Balance (BMB) material to the garment sector. NILIT shares its dedication to sustainability, and together they will develop new creative solutions that will significantly improve the textile and apparel sector while also lowering our environmental impact.

While SENSIL® ByNature is unquestionably the more environmentally friendly option, NILIT engineers have assured that SENSIL® ByNature fabrics provide the comfort and utility that designers demand from premium Nylon 6.6. Customers will feel better about themselves after choosing high-quality, long-lasting clothing that reflects their personal ideals.

NILIT’s most recent sustainable innovation is SENSIL® ByNature. NILIT recently introduced SENSIL® BioCare, which is enhanced with a special technology that helps reduce the persistence of textile waste in seawater and landfills; SENSIL® EcoCare, which is made from recycled Nylon; and SENSIL® WaterCare pre-dyed Nylon, which saves 100% of the water used in the traditional wet dyeing process. Furthermore, the SENSIL® product portfolio is made in accordance with NILIT’s Total Product Sustainability requirements.
