Nextevo has introduced its 100% chemical-free pineapple leaf fiber to the global market, highlighting its sustainable qualities and versatile applications. With a newly opened production facility in Vietnam, Nextevo recently showcased its eco-friendly Oeko-Tex certified fibers at the Tokyo Fashion World expo.
The fiber is biodegradable and suitable for fashion, home textiles, and interior products, with examples like jeans, blazers, shirts, and skirts demonstrating its use in apparel, while blended bath towels exhibited its adaptability in home textiles.
To meet the rising demand for traceable materials, Nextevo has integrated FibreTrace technology, which allows brands and consumers to follow the fiber's journey from farm to finished product. The company sources its pineapple leaves from Southeast Asia and East Africa, where the leaves are extracted, then processed into Ready-to-Spin (RTS) fibers at the Vietnam facility. These fibers are compostable, biodegradable, and possess natural antibacterial properties, enhancing their appeal as sustainable alternatives.
Nextevo also collaborates with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners to develop blended yarns, combining RTS fibers with materials like cotton, recycled cotton, rPET, or lyocell. These sustainable blends are designed for use in various sectors, including apparel, upholstery, home textiles, and automotive interiors, underscoring Nextevo’s commitment to providing eco-friendly materials for a range of industries.
