UK fashion retailer New Look has teamed up with TrusTrace, a global SaaS company, to strengthen its commitment to sustainability. TrusTrace specializes in supply chain traceability and compliance data management, helping New Look enhance visibility across its supply chain.
TrusTrace's platform will assist New Look in navigating its supply chain more effectively. The platform integrates with various systems, providing detailed insights into New Look's supply chain. This partnership aligns with New Look's 'Kind to Our Core' sustainability program, which focuses on reducing the carbon footprint and encouraging responsible sourcing.
Shameek Ghosh, CEO and co-founder of TrusTrace, emphasized the significant role their platform will play in achieving New Look's sustainability goals. The open architecture of the platform allows integration with different stakeholders, ensuring granular insight into the supply chain.
New Look aims to reduce carbon emissions by 46% by 2031, following Science Based Targets aligned with the 1.5°C pathway. The retailer is the first major UK brand to partner with TrusTrace, a milestone in the platform's mission to make global supply chains traceable, circular, and fair.
Sue Fairley, Head of Sustainability at New Look, highlighted the potential to deepen visibility up to Tier 4 suppliers, mitigating supply chain risks. The 'Kind to Our Core' program has shown progress, with an 18% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 22% decrease in Scope 3 purchased goods and services fiber product emissions.
