Back in 2022, PANGAIA initiated its partnership with NATIVA™, sourcing the finest Merino wool from NATIVA™'s certified farms, all dedicated to animal welfare. Now, a year later, NATIVA™ and PANGAIA are thrilled to announce the next phase of their collaboration — NATIVARegen™.

NATIVARegen™ is a holistic approach that enhances soil quality through a triple impact system, protecting lands, caring for animals, and supporting farmers to enhance their livelihoods. This journey involves raising sheep ethically, allowing them to graze on native plants in harmony with nature. Each farmer adheres to a management plan that assesses feeding, breeding, behavior, and health to ensure high standards of animal welfare, including stress-free shearing and the prohibition of mulesing.

PANGAIA's source of Merino wool from NATIVA™ is Cerro Bombero, a family-owned NATIVARegen™ accredited farm in Uruguay. This farm, situated 130km from the city of Paysandú, ethically raises 6,000 Merino sheep in open fields. The regenerative practices of the farm are measured through biogenic carbon and water footprint testing, allowing the monitoring of positive impacts at the field level.
