Naia™ Renew by Eastman has led to the creation of fully sustainable bedding and fill options. Naia™ Renew is utilized to craft bed linens, pillows, and duvets, offering products that are both environmentally friendly and maintain high-quality standards.
Additionally, Eastman has extended the application of Naia™ Renew to produce exceptionally soft towels known for quick drying and prolonged freshness. These sustainable products are developed without compromising on quality, providing consumers with eco-conscious alternatives.
Naia™ Renew staple fiber is derived from 60% sustainably sourced wood pulp and 40% certified waste materials, and can be blended with other sustainable fibers as well. Eastman employs its patented carbon renewal technology to transform challenging-to-recycle waste materials into biodegradable fibers.
The company prioritizes the safe and environmentally responsible use of chemicals, along with sustainably sourcing wood pulp. Despite being made from hard-to-recycle materials, Naia™ Renew fiber is certified biodegradable and compostable, contributing to a reduced carbon footprint over its life cycle.
Chad Doub, global segment market manager, casual wear & home, Eastman, said, “With Eastman’s molecular recycling technology, we’re solving a problem with waste, plastics, stuff that cannot be mechanically recycled and that would otherwise be probably destined for landfill and incineration.”
In line with their commitment to sustainability, Eastman aims to decrease the greenhouse gas footprint of the existing Naia™ portfolio by 40% by the year 2030. Central to this mission is the concept of circularity. Eastman's molecular recycling technology addresses challenges with waste and plastics that are difficult to mechanically recycle, providing a solution to materials that might otherwise end up in landfills or incineration.
