M&S, in collaboration with software company Bodi.Me, has created a special sizing tool for their new gender-neutral staff uniforms. This tool, called Size-Me 3.0, uses data and artificial intelligence (AI) to provide a universal fitting solution for all clothing collections, including gender-neutral items.

While gender-neutral fashion is becoming more popular, finding the right sizes for these garments has been a challenge. This often leads to a high number of returns, which is costly and not environmentally friendly. Bodi.Me's sustainable solution aims to address this issue.

What makes this software unique is that it uses data from over 350,000 3D body models and advanced AI and machine learning techniques to give accurate size and fit recommendations based on a few simple questions. It doesn't require photos or body scans, ensuring privacy. This precise sizing system applies to M&S's new gender-neutral uniforms created by Incorporatewear.

Lara Mazzoni, CEO of Bodi.Me, explained that Size-Me is precise and adaptable. Its main advantage is that it can accurately predict sizes, reducing return rates and environmental impact. It aligns with M&S's values of inclusivity, gender-neutrality, and sustainability.

Suzanne Gardiner, Marks and Spencer Store Services Manager, mentioned that M&S always looks for ways to improve the experience for customers and employees. Partnering with Bodi.Me and Incorporatewear for the uniform rollout has made ordering easier and reduced returns due to size issues, improving the experience for employees and cutting costs.
