Chinese Keer Group Co. Ltd. has appointed Moss & Associates of Greenville, S.C., to design and build a $218 million cotton yarn plant in the Indian Land community of Lancaster County.

Don Warren, executive vice president of Moss & Associates, said that the work on the facility will begin soon. Their team of design-build professionals will work to deliver the project on schedule and under budget, in a news release about the company’s selection to build the facility.

Last month, Keer had announced that plant construction should begin next month. Hiring would start in the second half of 2014. The facility will eventually employ 500 workers. Speed-to-market is critical to the Keer Group.

Moss & Associates is based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and operates a Carolinas division from Greenville.
