Mondottica UK joins UN Global Compact Network UK

Mondottica International Group, which owns Anna Sui, Cath Kidston, and Ted Baker licenses, has announced a new membership with the United Nations (UN) Global Compact and the UN Global Compact Network UK, as part of its commitment to sustainability and ethics.

Through its network of over 14,000 companies and 3,500 non-business members in over 160 countries, the voluntary platform aims to stimulate the development and implementation of responsible business practices.

Mondottica’s CEO, Tony Pessok, said he is extremely pleased to announce Mondottica’s membership of the UN Global Compact Network UK, enhancing their commitment to deliver best practices and measure out the impact of their operations on the environment, human rights, labor, and anti-corruption within the global eyewear industry.

Furthermore, in support of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, the eyewear licensing group has committed to adopting the 10 internationally acknowledged standards in these areas.

He added that their obligation to make informed decisions in the way they design, source, and operate to effect positive change for people and the planet is inherent in their objective to provide well-made and attractive eyewear for other consumers to use and love for a long time.

Mondottica recently developed an internal committee to lead its sustainability efforts, concentrating on areas such as product, packaging, energy, and supply chain alliances. Mondottica also oversees licenses with Vivienne Westwood and Karen Millen.
