OAO Mogotex is a major manufacturer of textile products in Belarus and the CIS. It will be first companies of the Belarusian textile industry to visit specialized international exhibition in Tokyo. It will be holding a series of meetings and presents its products to Japanese businessmen. The Mogotex delegation is also set to meet with Belarusian Ambassador to Japan Sergei Rakhmanov.

Mogotex will be making its first appearance with its products into the Japanese market at Private Label Trade Show Shop Japan 2014 to be held in Tokyo on 18-21 February, said Mogotex General Director Viktor Matievich.

The company delegation has left for Japan to hold talks with the renowned Japanese equipment manufacturers such as Toyota Textile and Tsudakoma Corporation, Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Japan's Marubeni Corporation. The Belarusian will also meet with representatives of Teikoku-Sen, a producer of workwear and uniforms for police and fire services in Japan, and large retail chains Fast Retailing and AEON.

The company’s goal is to not only present their products but also to negotiate the purchase of equipment with Japanese manufacturers, and to explore possibilities of promoting their products through local trading networks and establish contacts with the business, said Viktor Matievich. Mogotex products are quite competitive in the international market and can take a certain niche in Japan both in terms of decorative fabrics and fabrics for uniforms and work clothes, he said.

OAO Mogotex was originally established in 1973 and reorganized into a joint stock company in 2000. Producing fabrics produces fabrics for special wear and uniforms, raincoat, lining, decorative and knitted fabrics, ready clothing and home textile. The company operates weaving, finishing and garment factories and other industrial facilities.

It operates more than 20 entities of the commodity distribution network. There are eight joint ventures and six dealers in the CIS. One joint venture operates in the Baltic States, one dealer in Poland.
