Modern Meadow, Graphene-X to launch high-performance Bio-X gloves

Modern Meadow, a leader in sustainable materials innovation, has partnered with Graphene-X, a tech-driven clothing and gear brand based in Hong Kong, to unveil the All Rounder Bio-X Gloves. This groundbreaking product combines Modern Meadow’s Bio-Tex, a biofabricated leather alternative, with GRAPHTHERMAL, a graphene-integrated fabric by Graphene-X. The gloves are lightweight, durable, and designed to provide exceptional warmth with a sleek, modern aesthetic.

“At Modern Meadow, we empower our partners, like Graphene-X, to create premium, sustainable products through our scalable bio-design technologies,” said Dr. David Williamson, CEO of Modern Meadow. “This collaboration allows Graphene-X to meet consumer demand for eco-friendly apparel while aligning with stringent environmental goals and regulations.”

Powered by Modern Meadow’s proprietary BIO-ALLOY technology—a blend of plant-based proteins and bio-polymers—Bio-Tex is developed with an emphasis on environmental responsibility. Crafted in Italy through a partnership with Limonta, Bio-Tex exemplifies Modern Meadow’s commitment to circular design and versatile applications.

GRAPHTHERMAL, developed by Graphene-X, is a cutting-edge fabric engineered to retain and radiate heat efficiently. This advanced thermal system redistributes body heat to maintain optimal warmth, making it ideal for cold-weather performance gear.

“These two innovative materials complement each other, enabling us to create a unique, high-performance product that is lightweight, flexible, and soft to the touch,” said Jorge Barros, CEO of Graphene-X. “Our collaboration with Modern Meadow underscores our shared dedication to advancing sustainability in the apparel industry through science and technology.”
