MAS Matrix, a division of the Sri Lankan clothing giant MAS Holdings, has introduced a fresh range of athleisurewear that is not only functional but also kind to the environment. The collection, called MVTM, focuses on using resources efficiently and minimizing waste.
They achieved this by using shaping technology on Stoll flat knitting machines, ensuring that each piece is designed precisely, leaving no extra fabric. This method reduces fiber and fabric waste by 18 to 22% when compared to the traditional cut and sew approach.
In this new athleisurewear collection, MAS Matrix has taken a conscious approach to manufacture clothing that's eco-friendly. They have incorporated shaping technology, a method where each panel is carefully designed to utilize the fabric efficiently. By doing this, they have significantly reduced waste in terms of fabric and fiber. This initiative is part of their commitment to sustainability and responsible production.
The utilization of shaping technology in creating the MVTM collection signifies a leap towards a more sustainable and efficient method of manufacturing clothing. MAS Matrix is dedicated to reducing waste and making environmentally friendly choices in their production processes. This step forward showcases their dedication to not only creating functional athleisurewear but also being mindful of their impact on the environment.
