MAS Holdings Sri Lankan conglomerate to soon open a plant in Haiti

MAS Holdings, a leading Sri Lankan conglomerate and is positioned as one of the world’s most recognized Design–to-Delivery Solution Providers in the realm of Apparel and Textile Manufacturing has announced opening plants in the Caracol Industrial Park (PIC) in Haiti soon.

The Deputy Chairman of MAS Holdings Sharad Amalean at a reception organized by the National Society of Industrial Parks (SONAPI) on Wednesday, announced the implantation of plants of the intimate apparel manufacturer in Caracol Industrial Park, Haiti.

A start date of the activities of the MAS Holdings will be announced after the completion of some usual formalities in Haiti.

Philippe Debrosse, Director General of the SONAPI and Nonce Zéphyr, President of the Chamber of Commerce North, have welcomed this investment announcement in Haiti.

Almost 5 years after investments and installation of South Korean world leader in textile SAE-A Trading Co at PIC, MAS Holdings with global revenues of US$ 1.2 billion and operations in 15 countries would be the second largest investor in Caracol.

MAS Holdings is headquartered in Sri Lanka with 48 manufacturing facilities placed across 15 countries, with design locations placed in key style centres across the globe and with over 79,000 people involved in its operation.

The seamlessly integrated supply chain that is balanced to perfection with the organisation’s strategically placed design houses gives MAS the knowledge, the means and the speed to delivery that is demanded by the industry.

MAS began a green revolution in the industry with Thurulie; the world’s first purpose build eco manufacturing plant. This plant has been rated LEED Platinum by the US Green Building Council and has been profiled as a Global Best Practice in Sustainability.
