Unilever's premium brand, Magnum ice cream, has collaborated with renowned luxury Dutch fashion designer, Iris Van Herpen, to produce the first haute couture garment made solely from cocoa bean husks to promote its new dairy-free Vegan line.

Cindy Bruna debuted the Magnum Vegan Dress during Iris Van Herpen's 15th Anniversary show during Paris Fashion Week.

The cocoa bean husks were processed to form a completely organic biopolymer material for the garment, which featured 3D printed features such as copper-coated plant-like body decorations.

Magnum intends to enhance its long-term commitment to fashion by partnering with the University of Leeds.

To extend this commitment, Magnum has commissioned a research project with the Leeds Institute of Textiles and Colour (LITAC) at the School of Design to investigate how Magnum might bring to life affordable, sustainable fashion utilizing by-products from its basic components.

The Magnum Vegan Dress was revealed to the world on July 4th during Paris Fashion Week at Elysée Montmartre as Cindy Bruna took to the runway in Iris Van Herpen's 15th Anniversary show, debuting the unique design to the world and paving the way for Magnum ice cream's first steps into circular fashion.

Speaking about the collaboration, Iris said that she is honored to have been invited by Magnum ice cream as a collaborator to bring the Magnum Vegan Dress to reality. As a designer, she has always strived to push the frontiers of design, and this partnership has allowed them to go even farther by combining the elements of a famous Magnum Vegan to create an haute couture design. Working with the company on such a sustainable fashion invention has been a truly unique experience.
