Lindex commits to circular fashion with Infinited Fiber partnership

The Swedish fashion store Lindex has made a long-term commitment to be more eco-friendly by partnering with the Finnish Infinited Fiber Company. They are working with Infinited Fiber’s unique material called Infinna to promote recycling and circularity.

Lindex’s partnership with Infinited Fiber involves a long-term agreement to get access to recycled textile materials through Infinna fiber. This will happen once Infinited Fiber’s factory starts operating on a large scale in 2026. Lindex aims to use these recycled materials to create a more sustainable and circular collection of products, using raw materials from discarded textiles.

Infinited Fiber produces Infinna, which is a special and patented regenerated textile fiber that looks and feels like cotton. It’s made using innovative technology that transforms used textiles rich in cotton into high-quality premium fibers.

By using Infinna, Lindex is broadening the range of materials it uses, giving them an alternative to traditional cotton and other man-made fibers. This move supports Lindex’s goal of becoming more sustainable and eco-friendly.

Annette Tenstam, who leads Lindex’s efforts in circularity and environmental sustainability, emphasizes the need for change in the textile industry. She believes Infinited Fiber’s technology can help close the loop by turning old textile waste into high-quality, cotton-like material. This, she says, is not just good for Lindex but for the entire textile industry.

Infinited Fiber Company’s Key Account Director, Kirsi Roine, is excited about the prospect of seeing Infinna used in Lindex’s clothing. She believes it shows that brands can create environmentally friendly, high-quality materials from discarded textiles without compromising on quality or style.

Lindex also mentions that their shift to new materials and efforts to reduce their impact on the environment and natural resources are crucial parts of their circular and sustainability promises, which aim to make a positive impact for future generations.
