Levi’s marked 501 Day—the anniversary of its iconic blue jean’s patent—by unveiling five pairs of oversized 501 jeans across the U.S. These jeans, each standing at 12 feet tall and approximately five times the size of a standard pair, showcase the brand's legacy.

Replicating every detail of the original 501 design, these Giant 501 Jeans include the Levi’s Red Tab, stitched arcuate on the back pockets, five-button fly, leather patch, and shrink-to-fit fabric. While a regular pair of 501s requires 1.5 yards of denim weighing around 2 lbs., each giant pair needed about 15 yards of denim weighing 20 lbs. The creations were crafted by Levi’s Eureka Innovation Lab, with each taking three days to make compared to two hours for a standard pair.

The Giant 501 Jeans are displayed at Levi’s stores in Brickell City Center (Miami), 5th and Broadway (Nashville), Victoria Gardens (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.), Easton Town Center (Columbus, Ohio), and Ala Moana (Honolulu).
